*Job description* This full time position is part of the Finance Department This full time position reports to the Finance Manager The Finance Support Specialist will provide accounting support for Accounts Payable and Receivable, Payroll, General Ledger Accounting and Account Reconciliation under direct supervision of the Finance Manager.

Working hours are 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Located in Waterloo, Iowa.

*RESPONSIBILITIES* *Accounts Payable* * Match invoices and receiving documents to purchase order within 48 hours of receipt.
* Enter invoices into accounting system within 48 hours of receipt.
* Work with Purchasing Department and/or speaking with vendors to ensure charges are accurate and correct any discrepancies within 72 hours.
* Print accounts payable checks Tuesday and Friday.
* Monthly processing of sales tax liabilities by the 20th.
* Quarterly processing of royalty liabilities by the 15th.
*Accounts Receivable* * Process customer payments within 24 hours of receipt.
* Communicate with Customers to discuss account statuses, charges, or discrepancies within 24 hours of request.
* Process customer invoices within 24 hours of shipment.
*Payroll* * Serve as designated back up to cover Payroll responsibilities as needed.
* Bi-weekly payroll processing.
*Account Reconciliation* * Maintain accounting workpapers of asset and liability account balances.
* Monitor and reconcile account balances for prior month by 7th business day of current month.
* Monitor and reconcile financial activities to ensure accuracy.
* Participate in year-end procedures.
* Look for and provide solutions for accounting irregularities.
* Assist with daily, monthly, quarterly and annual financial activities including general ledger bookkeeping.
* Performs other related duties, as assigned.
*Compliance* Work with Finance Manager, Human Resource, Business Intelligence & Business Processes Manager, and external vendors to ensure company is compliant with all laws for our industry and size.
*SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS* * · Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience.
* · Understanding of accounting principles.
* · Exceptional time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* · Strong math and research skills.
* · Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data.
* · Proficient with computers, accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* · Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
