The Cost Account – Live Operations performs the cost accounting functions related to our live operations team in accordance with GAAP and Corporate accounting policies including timely and accurate financial reporting, operations analysis, timely preparation and analysis or management reporting, and assistance in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage costing activities to ensure accurate and consistent costing practices, including the development and implementation of standardized costing procedures for Live Operations.
Monitor the accuracy of product standards on a regular basis to minimize processing variances resulting from inaccurate costs and update standards as required to reflect changes in processing practices.
Lead the effort to ensure the timely and accurate updating of standard costs as part of the annual budget process.
Be an active participant in the new projects and implementations to improve and develop our costing methods and accuracy across various revenue streams.
In accordance with the Company accounting calendar, preparation of monthly closing activities for assigned areas of responsibility.
Duties to include inventory control, balance sheet reconciliations, operations reporting, and analysis.
Prepares management reporting on a recurring cadence.
Supports the management team in developing explanations/comments and action steps for the improvement of areas with unfavorable cost.
Provides detailed analysis to the local management team that supports cost improvement within the facility.
Participates in preparation of annual budget and the rolling forecasts within the areas the position supports.
Supports the clerical function by being proficient in using M-Tech and NetSuite inventory functions.
Provides the Manager of FP&A and management with support on ad hoc projects.
Oversee all aspects of cost accounting deliverables for Live Operations – manage the work plan, set milestones deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress
Coordinate projects on time, on budget, on process; manage stakeholders’ expectations on in and out of scope responsibilities.
Present progress updates and status reports
Utilize designated software to update and manage the project.
