Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing Services (DON):
Oversees and ensures timely and appropriate care is provided for a specified group of residents for whom the Administrative Nurse - RN/LPN is responsible
Coordinates the scheduling of caregivers and resident assessments and monitors and coordinates other healthcare providers for this select group of residents to ensure appropriate care is provided in a dignified and caring manner
Qualifications / Requirements
Must have an unrestricted and active Iowa (or compact state) RN or LPN license and up-to-date CPR certification
If licensed as an LPN, the Iowa Board of Nursing requires the completion of a Board-approved supervision course within six (6) months of working in a supervisory capacity
Experience in nursing supervision and care coordination preferred
Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language
Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable
