The Cook is responsible for providing superior customer service to residents and employees.
The Cook will help assure the dietary department is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
Shift: 1st shift 6:00am-2:00pm or 2nd shift 11:30am-8:00pm Full time

Job Description
Provide nutritional meals to residents, staff and visitors
Make changes to meal plans when necessary, with approval from the Director of Dietary Services
Ensure food supplies are appropriate and place orders when necessary
Oversee food tray line to ensure trays are prepared according to diet cards efficiently
Provide supervision to dietary aides as directed
Assure that established sanitation policies and procedures are followed
Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks, using equipment and supplies
Assure that the work area is clean and free of hazardous conditions such as spills, excess carts, etc.
Assure that equipment, tools and supplies are properly stored
Report all equipment malfunctions and breakdowns to the supervisor and keep the supervisor informed of supply needs
Report all hazardous conditions and equipment along with any accidents/incidents to the Dietary Director
Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of guests and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect, and promotes a caring environment
Attend and participate in meetings and in-services as scheduled
Qualification
One-year experience as a Cook preferred
ServSafe Certification
