Description:
Position Purpose:
Prepares high quality meals (breakfast, lunch and/or dinner) and baked goods for patients, visitors, and staff.
Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision, values, and culture of MercyOne.
What you will Do:
Prepares food according to recipes.
Works to ensure customer satisfaction.
Demonstrates knowledge of and compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
Operates, cleans, and sanitizes equipment.
Assists supervisor in ordering JIT foods/supplies.
Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.

8 FTE; 64 hours per pay period; includes a weekend and holiday rotation; typical hours are 5:30am – 7:00pm.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians while performing their job duties.
Minimum of 1-year food service experience or a combination of formal education and experience beyond high school.
Intermediate language, intermediate math, intermediate reasoning ability.
Ability to maintain a professional, positive image and to work effectively with the public.
Ability to maintain a fast pace of work.
