Waterloo KPR produces fully cooked, ready-to-eat products.
This job posting is for 2nd shift, initially working a schedule of Monday through Friday and some Saturdays, and then a rotational schedule of 4 days on, 3 days off one week, and 3 days on, 4 days off the following week when the plant moves to a 7-day operation.
Work hours are generally 1:40 p.
m.
to approximately 11:00 p.
m.
/midnight.
The base rate of pay is $19.
25/hour, plus a shift premium of $1.
00/hour.
Team members must be willing to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
This position is eligible for overtime pay.

Job Responsibilities: Checks with Blender Operator or Production Supervisor for product to be run that shift Pulls all paperwork - raw material analysis, final blend analysis, and operational sanitation audit - and documents results of sampling Ensures supplies are ready for the team members (e.
g.
, box cutter knives and blades, cutting gloves, Safety Chain handhelds) Obtains shift briefing from previous shift and acts on outstanding issues Runs Calibration Standard on the FOSS Analyzes pre-blender and final samples from the FOSS Machine and records Completes fat claims Trains for and performs other jobs, if needed Adheres to Tyson Foods policies and procedures in the performance of the job while maintaining a safe work environment for self and others, including personal safety and food safety, and reporting known or suspected violations Attends monthly and annual required training (e.
g.
, Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT) Performs other duties as assigned Job Requirements: Experience in food manufacturing preferred, but not required Basic computer skills to navigate systems and perform data entry Ability to record information using company-provided forms and procedures Experience with inventory control methods preferred Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others while demonstrating positive interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively with all team members and management Ability to accurately perform math functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division Must be willing to work other jobs to meet staffing needs, as needed Ability to identify, act with a sense of urgency, and resolve problems/inconsistencies, getting help from management or others, as needed Ability to report to work as scheduled and work scheduled hours to meet job expectations, have flexibility to work other jobs, as needed, and work weekends and overtime, as needed Requires standing (8-10 hours/day), walking, bending, stooping, twisting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching above, across, and below, and at shoulder level Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
